Kevin Walton amusingly records that he and David Jones had to design the hangar for an aircraft that had a wingspan of forty feet, but their longest planks were only 18 feet. They started to level a site on February 10th and they completed the job on February 18th. It was built out of rough-sawn Pirana pine, which was very hard, and difficult to nail.
