
Consequently, the only climbing done was in the form of numerous outings honing ice climbing technique on the easier ice cliffs adjacent to Base T, and one, very low-key jolly to climb Window Nunatak– probably the lowest peak in the main range but with an easy approach for a dog team over the Fuchs Ice Piedmont.
After two attempts to reach the Window were aborted because of deteriorating weather, Steve Wormald, Henry Blakley and I enjoyed a beautiful day in the late Spring to sledge to the Window with The Rabble, where we enjoyed an easy climb but with all the character of an alpine ascent.
