The Window (continued)

Consequently, the only climbing done was in the form of numerous outings honing ice climbing technique on the easier ice cliffs adjacent to Base T, and one, very low-key jolly to climb Window Nunatak– probably the lowest peak in the main range but with an easy approach for a dog team over the Fuchs Ice Piedmont.

After two attempts to reach the Window were aborted because of deteriorating weather, Steve Wormald, Henry Blakley and I enjoyed a beautiful day in the late Spring to sledge to the Window with The Rabble, where we enjoyed an easy climb but with all the character of an alpine ascent.
